JAY LENO AND JESUS? HOLLYWOOD AND JONI ERICKSON TADA? WHO'SE KIDDING WHO?

Since JAY Leno appeared on Johnny Carson's Late Night Show in the early 90's, I liked him. He seemed to be a decent guy with a great sense of humor - more humor than any of his competitors. However, we're not into tv entertainment, so we didn't watch his popularity rise until the last week. Paul said "I want to see what he has to say." So we watched until Thursday night. THURSDAY NIGHT: Leno was holding up gadgets for a laugh - then he picked up a THONG with a decal - the camera took a close-up, and speaking as though he were referring to just another gadget,Jay LENO read the words: WHAT WOULD JESUS DO? America laughed, no report appeared on television the next day. Silence! Why didn't Jay Leno hold up a thong with a picture of Mohammed and say, "I wonder what the Prophet would do?" Because he knew the city of LA would go up in flames, and he would have to live underground. JAY mocked Jesus before the entire world, because he knew Christians would sit mute and do nothing, say nothing, and change nothing! Jay Leno would be shocked if he really understood that God has been watching his program every night! Watching him slide into the vanity of temporary fame and glitz that is so attractive to the foolish. What did Jay Leno do for 20 years in Hollywood? Made a lot of money. Impressed a lot of people. Probably had a lot of fun and led a lot of people into the world of temporary illusions. But at what price? His eternal soul. And for the sake of his soul, I pray he will bend his knee and beg God to forgive his utter ignorance, in thinking he can mock God with no retribution. I am angry that he added to the filth of God-mockery in the media, but I more angry at a church that continues to sit by and say nothing! HOLLYWOOD Since I was a child I loved movies - the wholesome movies the Jews made when they built Hollywood. But if anyone questions what Hollywood has become, take a look at Joni Erickson Tada, the quadraplegic who wrote a beautiful crossover song that Hollywood nominated, until they realized a Christian had written the song and their "bleeding heart" disqualified it! What phonies! What fools the church is to support and drool over the filth they put out. I am angry at Hollywood, but I am more angry at the church. Once great in number and influence in America and the world, look at us now! Yes, we talk big inside the walls where the country has driven us! Herded like pigs, by spiritual neophytes. Some even say the world "Christian" but where is the person who will speak for God - what God has said in His Word, without excuse! Surely, we are the Laodicean Church that nauseates God so much he said He will vomit them out of His mouth. I don't know about you, but I will take the security of God's mouth any day over the filty mouth of the world. Mona Johnian
